AIMEE & THOMAS |johannesburg bicycle themed engagement sessionJanuary 5, 2015

I met Aimee & Thomas for the first time the week before their beautiful wedding to do their engagement session. Their wedding was beyond amazing and I cannot wait to share the photos on the blog next month, but their engagement session was just as stunning. Aimee & Thomas are a perfect pair – the love and compassion they have for each other shows in each photo. Their wedding day was bicycle themed so they organised a vintage bicycle for their engagement session to stick with this theme. Delta Park in Johannesburg with its lovely greenery and faint views of the city’s skyline was the perfect location for their session.

Here’s a short introduction to how their love story begun:

MR & MRS RAMSDEN |lombardy pretoria weddingDecember 11, 2014

Theonette & Gordon said their “I do’s” on the 8th of November 2014 at Lombardy Boutique Hotel in Pretoria during an intimate wedding ceremony. They booked us to only cover the ceremony and post-ceremony portraits – it was a pleasure to be a part of this incredible couple’s special day. I absolutely adore Theonette’s wedding dress and I love that it’s a sentimental creation: it’s a transformation of her mother’s wedding gown. The weather also worked along so well on the day – a few good luck raindrops fell right after the ceremony but stopped just in time for us to capture the portraits outside!

Inge & Stuart said their vows to each other on the 4th of October 2014 at the tranquil and beautiful gem of a venue, Olive Mystery, in Bapsfontein. I can not emphasise enough what lovely people Inge & Stuart are – I’ve been looking forward to their wedding day since I met them. Inge & I share a love for rabbits so I absolutely adore the bunny decor! So much thought went into every detail of their wedding day and it shows – their day was perfect and the start of what I believe will be a fairytale marriage 🙂

The Du Plessis family was a joy to work with! I met up with them for a Spring family session at the Botanical Gardens in Roodepoort & little Liane worked so well with the camera and is cute as a button! 🙂

Quintin, Tarien & Liane will also be welcoming another Du Plessis member to their lovely, joyous family soon!

CHARLENE & WILLEM |mpumalanga piet retief engagement sessionAugust 29, 2014

Charlene & Willem invited us to spend a day in Piet Retief, Mpumalanga, to get to know their beautiful little town (as I’ve professed many times before, Mpumalanga is, to me anyway, the most picturesque part of our country), them as a couple and cover their engagement session. Piet Retief offered everything you would want for a photoshoot: railways, foresty plantations and farm scenery – many of which will also be the locations and venues on their wedding day. I cannot wait to see how amazing their wedding will be 🙂 This is by far one of my favourite engagement sessions – and I absolutely adore these two – I’ll be counting down the days eagerly until their wedding day!

Charlene & Willem’s love story started in 2003 – Charlene’s friend had told her that his friend from Frankfort, Free State had come to visit and at first sight, at a local festival that weekend, seeing Willem from a distance as he approaced them, Charlene told her friend to introduce them to each other because she knew it would be her “trouman”! So it seems, love at first sight truly does exist!
