Theonette & Gordon said their “I do’s” on the 8th of November 2014 at Lombardy Boutique Hotel in Pretoria during an intimate wedding ceremony. They booked us to only cover the ceremony and post-ceremony portraits – it was a pleasure to be a part of this incredible couple’s special day. I absolutely adore Theonette’s wedding dress and I love that it’s a sentimental creation: it’s a transformation of her mother’s wedding gown. The weather also worked along so well on the day – a few good luck raindrops fell right after the ceremony but stopped just in time for us to capture the portraits outside!

How did you meet / How did the proposal happen?

“We met in Kruger National park. My sister and his brother were dating at the time… and the rest is history. We have been together for six years and he asked for my hand Christmas day of 2012. He wanted to propose with all our loved ones around. I opened my gift and he got down on one knee… I cried and the family started crying… it was very special.”

What was your favourite part of your wedding day?

Him: “Kissing the bride.”

Her: “The whole day was special, but saying the vows made me so emotional. I was filled with love in that moment.”

How would you describe your wedding theme?

“Rustic, organic with a vintage feel. Colours were pastel pink and green.”

Do you have any tips/advice for our future brides and grooms?

“Stop stressing about the flower arrangements etc, breathe and enjoy the planning and the wedding day.

Some things do go wrong on the day, but just enjoy this time with loved ones, it goes by in a blink of an eye.”

Is there anything else you would like to add?

“You guys made us feel so special on our wedding day, we were so comfortable with your guidance during the shoot.
We want to thank you for making our wedding day such a special one.”

Congratulations Mr & Mrs Ramsden! <3
