There’s nothing I enjoy more on a weekend than a family session – and the Pittaways were just too lovely for words! Mariana, Tulsa & little Keenan are the perfect little family and I’m still impressed with how eagerly Keenan posed for the camera!

The session ended off with a casual picnic at the botanical gardens and Tulsa entertained us with some relaxed guitar playing. It was great fun! Here’s some shots from their session:

Wow, working with these two was such an awesome experience – they have such a fun, down-to-earth, playful way of approaching life and love. From the moment I first met them (and especially after their engagement session), I knew their wedding would be something beautiful! Nic & Bozenia said their vows on the 24th of August 2013 at Kuthaba Bush Lodge which is located in Modimolle (Nylstroom), Limpopo. I just loved how personal their wedding day was and I once again realised that a wedding day truly is the joining of two families when their parents walked out of the ceremony embraced together with big smiles!

Nic & Bozenia looked amazing (that big bow on Bozenia’s wedding dress looked stunning!), the guests had tons of fun and the weather was perfect – we were even spoiled with a golden bushveld sunset. Needless to say, we loved being a part of their wedding day!

What was your favourite part of your wedding day?

Bozenia: “It is very difficult to say for everything went so well and it was exactly what we wanted! But here’s my shortlist – the wedding ceremony on top of the cliffs was very special, our first dance together as husband and wife and lastly my father-in-law’s speech which was incredible, from tears to laughter, emotions all over!”

I really love when couples book me way in advance – it gives me so much time to get to know them. They end up feeling more like friends than clients! Madelaine & Jaun are one of these couples. I’ve been chatting to Madelaine for many months about their wedding day and she kept me up-to-date with every part of the planning process. I have such a soft spot for this beautiful (inside & out) bride and it was devastating when I heard that her father passed away just before their wedding day. I thought it was beautiful that she dedicated a very precious scrapbook to her father on the day to make sure his presence was felt. Her elegance in dealing with every and any difficult situation has given me such great respect for her.

Their vintage dusky rose wedding was held at Kuthaba Bush Lodge in Modimolle, Limpopo on the 20th of April 2013. It was a weekend affair and started with a social braai the Friday evening, their wedding on the Saturday and a breakfast buffet on the Sunday morning. We were all pretty tense when it POURED on the wedding day – now don’t get me wrong, rain can be amazing on a wedding day – but these two were hoping for a sunny day and I just felt they deserved to have this wish come true. Needless to say, it was a BIG relief when the rain stopped just before the ceremony started and we had the most beautiful golden sunlight to work with during the newly-wed session. ๐Ÿ™‚
