I’m thrilled to share this wedding! I met this lovely couple early last year at a wedding and have been eagerly awaiting their own special day ever since. Olivia & Brian said their vows at Helderfontein Estate in Johannesburg on the 26th of April 2014. The weather was perfect, Helderfontein provided the perfect backdrop and we were fortunate to have beautiful golden sunlight to work with during the newlywed session 🙂

So much detail went into every part of their wedding day; I love how unique their wedding theme was – they selected yellow and silver as wedding colours and combined it with a vintage plane theme.  The handmade elements to the decor brought a personal touch, Olivia and Brian both looked amazing and the ambience of their wedding day was fantastic with the sweetest heartfelt speeches. We just loved every second of this wedding!

Melissa & Stefan said their vows on the 12th of April 2014 and Klip River Country Estate, in Meyerton, provided the perfect backdrop with its enchanted gardens. After a fun time getting to know these two during their engagement photoshoot (here’s a link to Melissa & Stefan’s Helderfontein Picnic Engagement Session), I couldn’t wait until their wedding day: I expected the elegant handmade touches, beautiful flowers and wonderful ambience that made this couple’s wedding a pleasure to be a part of! 🙂

There’s nothing I love more than a unique wedding with a hearty personal touch – and this is exactly what Miranda & Werner’s wedding day was all about! They said their “I do’s” on the 5th of April 2014 at the Anro Floral Farm – and from what I understand there’s only been one other wedding held here. This uncharted gem of a venue is beautifully picturesque and Miranda and Werner’s family and friends helped to make this wedding day special, fun and filled with a cheerful ambience!

There are so many aspects of this wedding day that I adored to bits: the loafs as wedding favours; the couple’s stunning attire (that wedding gown left me in awe!); Miranda’s prep location being at her family plot in Muldersdrift (this was also the lovely location for their engagement photoshoot, here’s a link to that gorgeous session: Miranda & Werner’s Farmstyle Muldersdrift Engagement Session); Miranda’s inability to look seriously at the camera – she burst out in giggles each time and it made for the loveliest natural photos; the fact that their future home together as husband and wife is located on the wedding venue, so we were able to get photos of the newlyweds at their new home; and of course their chemistry together.

There’s nothing I enjoy more on a weekend than a family session – and the Pittaways were just too lovely for words! Mariana, Tulsa & little Keenan are the perfect little family and I’m still impressed with how eagerly Keenan posed for the camera!

The session ended off with a casual picnic at the botanical gardens and Tulsa entertained us with some relaxed guitar playing. It was great fun! Here’s some shots from their session:

Gerhardus & Antoinette said their “I do’s” on the 29th of November 2013 at Klip River, a gorgeous venue in Vereeniging. The venue has so many beautiful photo locations and I would like to thank the staff for being so helpful – they assisted us with every part of the newlywed session and I can with all honesty say I’ve never received so much help from a venue’s staff before. Antoinette & Gerhardus are the perfect match. They go together like bread and butter! Their fun, down-to-earth personalities made the whole day a blast and I loved all the giggles they shared together. Also, I know I always say this, but I LOVED Antoinette’s wedding dress – that heart-shape detail on the back is stunning. They both looked fantastic! I also adore all the unique touches to their wedding day, for example the paper planes that were used for confetti and of course the lovely E. E. Cummings poem that they framed and hung outside the reception venue. It did start raining right after the ceremony, but fortunately it cleared up a bit and we were able to take all the shots we needed outside in Klip River’s magnificent gardens.
