Inge & Stuart said their vows to each other on the 4th of October 2014 at the tranquil and beautiful gem of a venue, Olive Mystery, in Bapsfontein. I can not emphasise enough what lovely people Inge & Stuart are – I’ve been looking forward to their wedding day since I met them. Inge & I share a love for rabbits so I absolutely adore the bunny decor! So much thought went into every detail of their wedding day and it shows – their day was perfect and the start of what I believe will be a fairytale marriage 🙂

This was our first wedding of the new wedding season – and it was such a gorgeous Spring wedding! Tamaryn & Moritz tied the knot on the 27th of September 2014 at Buitengeluk in Fourways, Johannesburg. They were an amazing couple to start the new wedding season with – both beautiful inside and out and one of the most relaxed and jolly couples I’ve had the opportunity to meet. Keeping with their down-to-earth characters, this pair requested to only have natural candid shots taken on their wedding day.

Nicole and Michael are two of the nicest people I’ve met. Their wedding was on the 2nd of May 2014 at the magnificent Shepstone Gardens in Johannesburg. Their day was perfectly planned and it was fantastic to be a part of. Mr & Mrs Young both looked magnificent and I had so much fun working with this sweet, down-to-earth pair. Some of my favourite parts of their wedding day was all the handmade touches to the decor and wooden signage in the venue’s gardens; the black bridesmaids’ dresses; the bride’s purple Converse shoes; and the splendid ceremony area.

There’s nothing I love more than a unique wedding with a hearty personal touch – and this is exactly what Miranda & Werner’s wedding day was all about! They said their “I do’s” on the 5th of April 2014 at the Anro Floral Farm – and from what I understand there’s only been one other wedding held here. This uncharted gem of a venue is beautifully picturesque and Miranda and Werner’s family and friends helped to make this wedding day special, fun and filled with a cheerful ambience!

There are so many aspects of this wedding day that I adored to bits: the loafs as wedding favours; the couple’s stunning attire (that wedding gown left me in awe!); Miranda’s prep location being at her family plot in Muldersdrift (this was also the lovely location for their engagement photoshoot, here’s a link to that gorgeous session: Miranda & Werner’s Farmstyle Muldersdrift Engagement Session); Miranda’s inability to look seriously at the camera – she burst out in giggles each time and it made for the loveliest natural photos; the fact that their future home together as husband and wife is located on the wedding venue, so we were able to get photos of the newlyweds at their new home; and of course their chemistry together.

Izelle & Fred are one of those couples that I bonded really well with (not just because the bride and I share the same name, hehe) – I looked forward to their wedding since the moment I met them; it was obvious it would be an amazing day. They were so great to work with during their engagement couple photoshoot (see their botanical garden engagement session here) and their wedding day was even more fun with the stunning touches to their decor and their beautiful wedding venue. They said their vows on the 22nd of February 2014 at The Nutcracker Country Retreat and Wedding Venue in Parys, Free State.

One thing that really stands out for me on their wedding day was the cheerful ambience thanks to their guests and family – it’s always beautiful to see the families of a newly married couple embracing each other with open arms and the heartfelt and funny speeches shared on their day (it was quite hilarious when one of the guests acted as a fake sign language interpreter during Fred’s speech) – it truly was a fairytale wedding for two beautiful people that are so obviously each other’s soulmates 🙂
