MR & MRS JOOSTE |kuthaba bush lodge modimolle limpopo weddingJuly 21, 2014

This wedding was absolutely beautiful – Kuthaba Bush Lodge in Modimolle/Nylstroom, Limpopo, remains one of my favourite wedding venues with its stunning sunset and bush scenery. This was also our last wedding of the first half of 2014’s wedding season – Liezel and Wicus said their vows on the cliff at Kuthaba on the 24th of May 2014; I’m so glad we were able to wrap up this wedding season with such a creatively inspiring wedding. Their precious day was filled with colourful homemade touches and vintage elements. I adored every part of this wedding and I loved working with this couple.

MR & MRS UYS | rosemary hill pretoria weddingMarch 13, 2013

It’s no secret that Rosemary Hill, a lovely organic farm just outside of Pretoria, is one of my favourite wedding venues in South Africa. So you can imagine my excitement when it was finally time for us on the 26th of January 2013 to photograph a wedding at this ridiculously awesome venue. Cloudene and Dietrich are such a wonderful couple! They just fit so well together – they complement each other in every way and I adore how natural they were in front of the camera.

I asked this lovely couple to share a bit of their relationship details with us:

When did you know you had found the one:

“There was not a defining moment for either of us; no light bulb suddenly lit up. We gradually became aware that our friendship and love for another was sincere and honest. He has the goofiest jokes and the kindest heart of anyone I have ever met.”

“She has the most beautiful smile and most amazing way of making people feel comfortable around her. Her down to earth beauty and personality makes her an unbelievable partner and my best friend!”

How did you get engaged?

MR & MRS ROSS | the moon and sixpence muldersdrift weddingNovember 6, 2012

I saw Kresha & Warren for the first time at a wedding I was covering earlier this year. They seemed like such a happy couple – needless to say, I was really excited when Kresha phoned me a few months later to discuss her own wedding. I loved their Newtown engagement session (click here to view their engagement session); it was so easy to work with them. Warren wrote an awesome poem about how they met for their engagement session’s blogpost – this cute story of how they met made me even more excited to cover their wedding!

Their wedding was on the 29th of September 2012 at the lovely Moon & Sixpence wedding venue in Muldersdrift, Gauteng. I love how relaxed the atmosphere was and all the laughter that was shared on the day. There were so many emotions during the speeches and so many guests dancing by the end of the night!

Mr & Mrs Ross added some twists to the wedding – their wedding was themed around several characters, mainly cartoon characters, and they even had a lightsaber battle during their first dance!

Here’s what Kresha has to say about their wedding decor:

KRESHA & WARREN | newtown urban e-sessionOctober 9, 2012

posted in E-shoots

Kresha & Warren wanted an urban look & feel for their engagement photoshoot and Newtown was the perfect spot! I’ve always wanted to do an e-session in this part of Johannesburg and it was such an awesome experience. When we arrived at the spot for the shoot, it was occupied by construction vehicles, but this didn’t stop us from hunting down some other spots in this exciting part of town (and on that note, thank you to the shop owners at 44 Stanley in Auckland Park who allowed us to take some photographs there on such short notice)! Kresha & Warren are such a photogenic couple and I adore how naturally they posed for the camera.

I asked Kresha & Warren to write me a paragraph on how they met. I did not expect Warren to write a whole poem!
Here’s Warren’s adorable poem about their love story (and it’s a really cute story as well!):
