Lauren and Leigh are an amazing couple – they are so vibrant and energetic together and their wedding day was filled with pure happiness. I haven’t seen so many guests on the dancefloor in a while; from young to old, all the guests went all out to celebrate this beautiful couple’s precious day. Lauren and Leigh had their wedding at the gorgeous Lombardy Boutique Hotel in Pretoria on the 26th of October 2013.

I adore all the personal touches that Mr & Mrs Muller added to their wedding day – my favourite is the heart shape (made from a piece of Lauren’s father’s clothing) Lauren had stitched onto her wedding dress as well as the exchanging of flowers during the ceremony.

How did Leigh propose?

Lauren: “Leigh booked a table at our favourite restaurant for our fourth anniversary. After dinner, everything went quiet and they played our song. I looked up and the waiter was walking towards our table with a bottle of champagne and a lit sparkler. Leigh put a large box on the table and said ‘now you can open your present’. It would have been perfect if I hadn’t thought that there couldn’t possibly be a ring in the box and wanted to save Leigh the embarrassment of everyone thinking he was proposing. I waved at the other guests saying ‘no, no, it’s not what you think!’ I then heard Leigh saying ‘I hope all those No’s aren’t for me’ and I turned to see him on one knee with a ring in his hand 🙂 Inside the box was a Brown’s bear, the ring and a card asking me if i would be his ‘Forever Guppen.’ I said ‘yes’, of course!!!”

What was your favourite part of your wedding day?
Lauren: “The entire day was awesome; from beginning to end.”

Do you have any tips/advice for our future brides and grooms?
Lauren: “Always have a notebook and pen close by, cos you never know when a good idea will pop into your head! The notes app on any phone works just fine too, I’m just old fashioned 😛 The day will go VERY quickly, try to take it all in and enjoy it! It really is over before you know it 🙂 But it will be the best day of your life, so far 🙂

How would you describe your wedding theme?
Lauren: “There was no theme, really. Even though neither are our favourite colours, we loved the way cobalt blue and orange looked together. Everything was fairly simple and we had a lot of things that were very personal and unique to our relationship. The three main things that we wanted were good food, good wine and an awesome party!”

Well, Mr & Mrs Muller definitely got the good food, good wine and awesome party they were hoping for on their wedding day! Congratulations you two, it was so much fun to be a part of your wedding day celebrations!
