Sebastian & Marshree planned their wedding in two weeks! I’ve worked with couples that have planned their whole wedding in three months or so, but I’ve never seen anyone plan their wedding in such a short time! They did a fantastic job and with the help of friends and family they created one of the loveliest atmospheres I’ve ever felt at a wedding.
They tied the knot with a Hindu ceremony on the 13th of April 2013 at Maha Jwala Narasimha Temple in Alan Manor and hosted the reception at a private clubhouse in Fourways. Marshree describes the day as a “fun, less is more” celebration where everyone could just enjoy themselves and I couldn’t agree more. It was small, intimate and truly a very precious day.
How did you meet?
Marshree: “We met at a night club. We always maintained that you could never meet anyone of substance at a club but here we are five and a half years later… married.”
How did you get engaged?
Marshree: “We went to dinner at our favourite restaurant, Villa Moura, I had the flu and I really wanted to stay in bed but Sebastian insisted on going out. They played One and Only by Adele and Sebastian literally dragged me onto the dance floor. He went down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I later found out that he had a whole speech prepared but he was so nervous he forgot everything and he was just praying his pants didn’t split!”
What was your favourite part or things about your wedding?
Marshree: “Our favourite part of the wedding was the speeches, they were funny and heartfelt especially the best men’s speech.”
In retrospect, was there anything you would have done differently?
Marshree: “Sebastian wishes he could have had an Arsenal or Barcelona wedding theme!”
We’re really glad these two decided against eloping and planned this awesome short-notice wedding. We enjoyed every minute of it and wish this lovely couple a very happy life together.
